Sri Kumaran Stores was founded in 1955 by the late Shri. P.G. Chengalvaraya Chettiar. His feel for the throbbing pulse of Chennai, and his love for a four hundred years old tradition, gave shape to this magnificent silk temple - a halloweed landmark in Chennai. Today his legacy is closely guarded and zealously nurtured by his son Shri. P.C. Jayaraman and his grandsons Ethiraj, Janardanan, Ravi and Shekar.
